The Caerwys in Bloom Committee started
entering competitions during the year 2000, and were awarded with their endeavours by being placed within the top three and
winning various prizes, from the Wales in Bloom. To the more local Flintshire County Environmental competitions
- in which Caerwys holds the record for the amount of times it has been placed first. The committee
are made up of all local residents, with Gaynor Griffith as the Chairperson.
The Town of Caerwys during the summer
months is an abundance of flowers, tubs and hanging baskets - cascaded around the Town.
Not just only are the main streets delightful to see as you walk or drive through, the side streets and the areas around St.Michael's
Church, Drovers Lane, and the new displays which are dotted around the town each year, such as opposite Fairview Close and
the Marian area.
